UPDATE: Community Water Billing Notice

The Village of Shreve has resolved the technical issue affecting water bill calculations. The billing rates have been corrected in the system.

Corrected bills have been printed and mailed to residents.
Please be advised of the following important details regarding these new statements:

Payment Status on Paper Bills: If you have already paid your previous bill, the new mailed statement will not show that payment as posted. However, the payment has been marked as paid in the Village system.

Credits for Overpayment: If a previous payment resulted in an overpayment due to the system error, a credit has been applied to the account.

Balance Verification: Residents are welcome to call Village Hall to verify their current account balance or to confirm that a specific payment or credit has been applied.

Unit Measurement Update: While the bills will have Cubic Feet printed for the water usage, the pricing and usage will reflect gallons. The Village has ordered new billing stock.

Residents may have noticed pavement damage along the road near the former Sweethaven building, as shown in the photo above. The damage is believed to be the result of thermal expansion — a condition in which pavement expands and buckles due to prolonged exposure to high temperatures. The Village of Shreve is aware of the issue and is actively working with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) to address the situation as quickly as possible. In the meantime, please be advised of the following: A temporary traffic light will be installed at the affected area to help manage traffic flow safely while repairs are arranged. Motorists are asked to exercise caution when traveling through this area and to reduce speed accordingly. We ask for your patience as we work to get this resolved in a timely manner. The safety of our residents and visitors is our top priority. We will continue to provide updates as the repair process moves forward. Thank you for your understanding.
