Exciting News for the Village of Shreve: South Market Street Bridge Project Selected for Funding


The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has selected the South Market Street Bridge for funding through the Municipal Bridge Program.


This important project is currently scheduled for a construction award in State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2031. However, if funding becomes available sooner, the project may move up and be awarded in SFY 2030.


The project will also receive federal funding for the Environmental and Detailed Design phases in SFYs 2026 and 2027, ensuring that the design and preparation work are completed well before construction begins.


This investment marks a major step forward for improving local infrastructure and ensuring safe, reliable transportation for our community.

Public Notice – Road Closure Update | Village of Shreve This is an update to the March 14 notice regarding road closures due to storm damage and downed utility lines. The majority of previously affected roads have been reopened. Wells Street remains closed at this time while AEP Ohio and Brightspeed continue repair work on the damaged utility pole. Residents and motorists are asked to continue avoiding Wells Street and to use alternate routes until further notice. An additional update will be issued once the street has been cleared and reopened. The Village appreciates the patience and cooperation of our residents. Shreve Village Hall
