Shreve, Ohio – Leaf Pickup Begins NOVEMBER 3, to November 30, 2025


The Village of Shreve will begin its annual leaf pickup service on Monday, November 3rd. We encourage all residents to take advantage of this service to keep properties neat and our streets clear.


Schedule as follows:

                  Monday & Wednesday = North end pickup

                   Tuesday & Thursday = South end pickup

                   Friday = as available


Important Guidelines for Leaf Pickup:

  • Only leaves will be collected – no debris, sticks, trash, or other rubbish.
  • Please pile leaves along the edge of your property, near the curb or street line.
  • Do not place leaves on the roadway or in ditches to ensure safe traffic flow and drainage.
  • Leaves should be rakes/blown to the ccurbside in piles or wind rowsas close to, but not in sstreets.

 If you have anything else in your pile of leaves that shouldn't be they will NOT pick them up!


Following these guidelines will help our crew efficiently collect the leaves and keep the village looking great.

The Shreve Police Department offers capable men and women the opportunity to make the Village of Shreve a safer community by providing efficient, effective services to its residents, businesses, and visiting neighbors. Responsibilities Deter crimes and assure community through high-visibility policing Patrol assigned areas and monitor activities to protect people/property Investigate crimes and apprehend suspected law violators Observe and respond to various situations or emergencies Follow rules, guidelines, and protocols Conduct initial and follow up investigations Gather evidence and ensure successful prosecutions Produce internal reports and provide feedback on case status Deal with case paperwork and administrative procedures Foster good public relationships and liaise with community groups or individuals Coordinate operations with other emergency services Attend and provide evidence in court Shift : Applicants must be willing to work any shift as assigned, to include holidays and weekends. Shift assignments will be on an 8 to 12-hour schedule. Applicants must meet the following requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Ohio Basic Peace Officer’s Certification (OPOTA certification) at time of application (This is a must have). A valid Ohio driver’s license. Able to pass a background investigation. Willing to submit to Traits testing Must be able to pass a drug test Must have current OPOTA certification Proven working experience in law enforcement Proficiency in using police equipment Excellent knowledge of standard operating procedures, judicial procedures, civil and constitutional laws Working knowledge of interrogation techniques and scene management Knowledge and skills of law enforcement principles and practices Adequate interpersonal and communication skills Ability to build effective working relationships Sound judgement along with effective decision making skills Conflict resolutions and problem solving skills Responsibility, dependability, honesty and integrity Willing to submit to and criminal background check Must be able to pass a complete physical May be required to submit to a psychological evaluation May be required to take a polygraph test Valid driving license High school degree An applicant, upon employment, must be able to perform the duties of the position, obey the Rules and Regulations, General Orders, and Policies and Procedures of the police department and laws of the State of Ohio. Disqualifiers: An applicant will be disqualified from appointment if previously convicted of any crimes of violence, violations of illegal drug activity, and any violations of crimes of theft or corruption as found in the Ohio Revised Code An applicant who provides false, inaccurate, or incomplete information on the employment application will be subject to immediate disqualification from appointment or termination if appointed.
