PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: Service Line Assessment Inventory

May 16, 2024

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL SHREVE RESIDENTS

The Village of Shreve is committed to ensuring the health and safety of our community.  As part of a state-wide effort mandated by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Village of Shreve will be conducting door-to-door visits to gather data on the material of residential service lines.

Purpose of the Visits:

  • Inventory Assessment: To create a comprehensive inventory of all private service lines within the village.
  • Safety Compliance: To ensure that there are no lead service lines supplying water to any residence, safeguarding our community against potential health risks.

What to Expect:

  • Shreve Village Water/Sewer Department will request to inspect where your water service enters your home to determine the material of your service line.
  • This process is quick and non-invasive, and there is no cost to you.
  • Shreve Village Water/Sewer Department Staff will be driving identifiable Shreve Village vehicles.

Your Participation:

  • Your cooperation is vital to the success of this initiative and the well-being of our community.
  • If you are not home during our initial visit, a notice will be left with information on how to schedule a convenient time for inspection.

We appreciate your support and understanding as we work together to comply with the Ohio EPA's regulations and maintain a safe living environment for all our residents.

For more information or to schedule an inspection at your convenience, please contact the Village Office at (330) 674-2600 or visit www.shrevevillagehall.org

Thank you for your cooperation.
