PUBLIC NOTICE: SCHEDULED HYDRANT FLUSHING

To ensure the continued health and safety of our community and to maintain the integrity of our water distribution system, the Village of Shreve will be conducting our annual hydrant flushing program. This process is critical for clearing our lines of any sediment and ensuring the proper functioning of hydrants in case of emergencies.

Schedule of Hydrant Flushing:

  • Dates: June 3rd to June 6th - 2024
  • Time: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily

What Residents Can Expect:

  • Temporary disruptions in water service or low water pressure during these times.
  • Possible discoloration of water. Please be assured that the water will still be safe to use. However, we advise running your cold water tap until it clears before using it for drinking or laundry.

Recommendations:

  • Avoid doing laundry during the scheduled flushing times to prevent staining of clothes.
  • Store a sufficient amount of water for drinking and cooking purposes prior to the start of flushing.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we perform this essential maintenance work to improve water quality in our community.

If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Village Hall at (330) 567-2600 or visit our website at www.shrevevillagehall.org.

Thank you for your cooperation and support.
