Attention, Shreve Residents:
In anticipation of heavy snowfall and potential hazardous road conditions, the Village of Shreve has implemented a
snow ban beginning
today, Friday, January 10, 2025, at 6:00 PM, and lasting through
Sunday morning, January 12, 2025, at 8:00 AM.
This snow ban is necessary to ensure the safety of our community and allow for efficient snow removal and emergency access throughout the village. We kindly ask all residents to comply with the following guidelines during the snow ban period:
Parking Restrictions:
- No vehicles should be parked on village streets during the snow ban.
- Please utilize driveways or designated off-street parking areas.
Roadway Clearance:
- Streets must remain clear to facilitate snow plowing and salting operations.
- Vehicles left on the streets may be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
Safety Precautions:
- Avoid unnecessary travel during the snow ban period.
- If you must drive, proceed with caution and allow extra time to reach your destination.
- Be prepared for reduced visibility and icy conditions.
Community Support:
- Check on neighbors, especially the elderly or those with limited mobility, to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Clear sidewalks and pathways in front of your property, as feasible, to help keep walkways safe.
