Ordinance No. 11-2024

AN AMENDED AND RESTATED ORDINANCE WHICH MODIFIES THE SALARY SCHEDULE, WAGE SCALE, AND HEAL TH BENEFITS, FOR SPECIFIED POSITIONS OF THE VILLAGE OF SHREVE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF SHREVE, COUNTY OF WAYNE, STATE OF OHIO TO PROMOTE THE GENERAL WELFARE AND THE SAFETY OF THE RESIDENTS OF THE VILLAGE:

SECTION 1. That the rate of compensation for the following Village Employees shall be in effect as per Ordinance 7-2023 passed on November 20, 2023; Ordinance 1-2024 passed January 8, 2024 Ordinance 3-2024 passed on February 5, 2024, Ordinance 5-2024 passed on April 15, 2024 and as am ended and restated herein: See Section 1 of Attached Exhibit "A"

SECTION 2. Pursuant to Section 2 in Exhibit "A" attached, the amount of vacation time granted to an employee shall be determined by the hire date and the length of the period that a person has been an employee of the Village. Said schedule shall be effective January 1, 2024.

SECTION 3. The holiday schedule that the Village shall observe is stated in Section 3 of the attached Exhibit "A" and the schedule shall be effective January 1, 2024.

SECTION 4. The Village of Shreve shall pay 100% of the health insurance premium for full-time Village employees, with the Employee share being 0%.

SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall replace any previous pay schedule and the Village policy for the accrual of vacation and the holidays observed by the Village.

SECTION 6. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary to the immediate preservation of the public peace health, safety of said Village.
