Ad for Shreve Village Solicitor Position

The Village of Shreve is conducting a search for a person to fulfill the responsibilities as legal counsel for the Village, and the person employed as legal counsel shall be known as the Solicitor for the Village of Shreve, Ohio.

The person selected for this position of Solicitor shall be an attorney at law, admitted to practice in the courts of Ohio. It shall be the duty of the Solicitor to act as attorney and counsel for the Village and its officers in their official capacity, and as such to prosecute and defend all actions by or against the Village or any of its departments during the term of employment, and to render legal opinions to Council, department or officer of the Village upon written request. The Solicitor shall be on call to the Mayor and members of Council, attend one meeting of Council each month, and such other duties as authorized or required by the Ohio Revised Code.
